My Take on the Book:

I happen to see this book on Amazon while searching for Indian Kids story book. The hard cover page with saree clad lady cuddling a puppy hinted me of the Indian-ness and animal love. Well known author and good reviews! So, I placed order for my copy.

Beautiful cover page, bright white pages with neat fonts instantly attracted my 7 year old girl. Since her mother couldn’t control the urge to read this book, she agreed for me reading it to her!

But, her generosity didn’t last long. As we turned the pages and saw beautiful pictures, she wanted to read it too!! Sandhya Prabhat has done wonderful job with the illustrations. Her creativity perfectly compliments the story and give wings to child’s imagination.

Since kids love pets and can relate to the dog’s innocence and curiosity shown in the book, this would be a joyful read for them.

Though there are lot of books for kids, I feel there is a dearth of good Indian Kids books. So, for me, this came at the right time.

Recommendation :

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for:

  • Children book with Indian touch
  • Simple story book for kids with good values
  • Feel good kind of read
  • Empathy and Affection towards Pet
