My take on the book:
Sonia Mehta’s “My Book of Values” series have many interesting books for children. This particular book talks about the value of money.
Story starts with the twins Nicky and Noni wanting to buy the new video game, which their friends talk about in the school. But their mother asks them to buy it using their own savings/earnings.
Kids try to save the money and earn more money by running errands at home. In the process they learn about the difficulties of earning money and starts valuing it. They even make their parents proud by taking good decision about their hard earned money.
Book has beautiful pictures to grab child’s attention. Children can easily connect with the story and understand the importance of money.
Another plus point is book has variety of activities to keep the child engaged for few hours.
